DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS

The driver must produce their original full valid driving licence before every hire (both parts where applicable) showing categories of vehicles the holder is entitled to drive. Drivers aged between 21-70 with a minimum of two years driving on a clean full licence.
Minor endorsements acceptable, please inform us when enquiring or booking.

Drivers aged between 21-23 must have accident free record and no convictions.

For people carriers, minibuses, Lutons and 7.5 t trucks all drivers must be 25 and over with licence category
D1 for minibuses and category C1 7.5t for trucks.

SECONDARY IDENTIFICATION

Secondary I.D. is required in the form of a current passport or security pass from a well known employer with photograph & signature. If you possess neither of these a cheque book with guarantee card may be accepted. The above should be accompanied by proof of current address i.e. utility bill.

PAYMENT METHOD

Payment before departure in full. A valid credit/debit card is required to secure a booking, which acts as a guarantee of payment for cancellation, fuel shortages and damages.

HIRE PERIOD

The hire period runs from 8.30am to 8.30am. A charge of £20.00 inc. VAT for the first half hour will be made for any inconvenience caused by late returns. Thereafter a penalty charge equivalent to the full daily rate will be charged. Please note this is a penalty charge and not an extension of hire. The hire period may not be extended without our prior consent. No refund will be made for early returns.
Weekend rate from 8.30am Friday to 8.30am Monday or 8.30am Saturday to 8.30am Tuesday.

INSURANCE

Only drivers completing our rental agreement are insured to drive. Fully comprehensive cover is included in the hire rates with a deductible excess per incident of £500 (£900 for drivers under 25) for cars and vans; £750 for people carriers, minibuses, Lutons and 7.5t vehicles for any damage to, theft of, attempted theft of a vehicle or third party claim during the hire period. Goods in transit are not covered. All incidents must be reported by the hirer within 12 hours. Please note that our insurance does not cover neglect. The hirer is responsible for all damages caused by collision with overhead objects and associated costs, along with all damages to windscreens, tyres, light lenses, door mirrors and interior.

EUROPEAN HIRE

You are required to inform us if you wish to travel abroad. A surcharge is added to the current rates for continental hires and Southern Ireland. This will include vehicle insurance, Green card, VE103b vehicle on hire certificate and Continental breakdown cover.
We will also provde a first aid kit, warning triangle, reflective jackets and spare bulb kit.

OPERATORS LICENCE

It is the customer's responsibility to hold an operators licence if you are hiring a vehicle with a
Gross Vehicle Weight over 3.5 tonnes for commercial use.

FUEL

MINIMUM REFUEL CHARGE £20.00 INCLUDING VAT

All vehicles run full to full. Please check that the vehicle is full before leaving the premises as mistakes can not be rectified at a later date. Fuel type is labelled on key rings and on the filler cap. A minimum refuelling charge of £20.00 and thereafter £2.25 per litre inc.VAT will be made on vehicles not returned full.

CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required before a cancellation or amendment of a booking, otherwise the full amount of the booking will be charged, (this includes failing to produce the correct documents at point of hire).

STRICTLY NO SMOKING OR PETS.

As of 01/07/2007 it is an offence to smoke or knowingly permit smoking in hire vehicles.
Strictly no pets allowed. The hirer is required to return the vehicle in the same clean condition as originally hired otherwise a cleaning charge will apply (min charge of £30.00). No good are to be carried in the cab area nor more passengers than seat belts fitted.
